About Us -- Our initiative
The 'Tastes of Ayrshire' and 'Ayrshire Food an' a' That' are an initiative to support and promote food and drink businesses within the Ayrshire region.
Founded in October 2020 in collaboration with the Ayrshire Food Network, the aims of the group is to identify and promote new opportunities for food and drink in Ayrshire including areas of activity such as:
- Local procurement
- Education, skills and training
- Mentoring opportunities
- Collaboration
- Circular economy
- Community wealth-building
- Sustainability
We organise a number of events throughout the year to increase market awareness both to the public, and to other businesses interested in Food and Drink. Any Ayrshire business is welcome to join, free of charge, via our Members section.
The team
David is your key contact. He is one of a number of Regional Food Group Coordinators across Scotland, and is tasked with supporting local businesses in the region.
Supporting David is a social media professional -- actively promoting all our members businesses.
In addition we have excellent support from the various business teams in the local authorities, and the National Scotland Food and Drink team.

Funding is provided by all three Ayrshire Local Authorities, and Scotland Food and Drink. This funding supports the time and effort of the Regional Food Group Coordinators and associated services.
